Arundel Stainless Bottle Cage Review

Arundel make a retro looking stainless bottle cage, with a firm grip that won’t leave black marks on your bottle 9/10 £19.99

Bottle cages vary wildly in price from pennies to hundreds of pounds and in my view picking one that suits the style of your bike is key to keeping it looking good. A trip to London a few months back ended with me casually perusing the Condor Cycles shop and I stumbled across a product that could solve a number of my problems in the water carrying the department.

From what I can see the bottle cage market is segmented into cheep and aluminum, mid priced and plastic or carbon and expensive. None of these worked for me. Carbon was out on price, the plastic ones would not work well with the classic lines of my Condor Acciaio and the aluminum ones eventually oxidise leaving black marks on your bottle. So what to do? Go niche with a stainless bottle cage!
I have tested the cage for 500 miles now with no problem. The bottle are held nice and secure without any escapees so far. The cage is also rattle free. More importantly the dreaded black marks you get from aluminum are a thing of the past. The Arundel stainless bottle cage cleans up well and with it being stainless steel it should last a fair while.

Here are some of the technical details:

 Weight: 53 Grams
Material: Stainless Steel
Tube width: 4.2mm
Finish: Polished

The Arundel Stainless Bottle Cage in my view is a worthy companion for the Condor Acciaio at an RRP of £19.99 it sits at the cheaper end of the market and should last for a very long time.

What’s in the stand: The Condor for a pre-winter degrease and polish

Nice review. Does the Rapha Bidon (small) fit in it? Can’t find anything that does! Thanks.

The Small Rapha bottle fits nicely into it. I have been very impressed with it as a cage
